Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie tentatively titled Thalpathy 67 has created all the strong buzz needed. The makers have been keeping the audience and Vijay fans engaged sharing all the major updates. After launching the film, revealing the star cast, and locking digital partner producer Seven Screen Studios now announced the title. Thalapathy 67 is now titled “Leo - Bloody Sweet” with a video. The two-minute promo video of Leo, which reminds one of the title reveal promo of Lokesh’s previous film Vikram, shows Vijay making chocolate and simultaneously forging a sword and then dip the sword in the chocolate while waiting to take on a group of villains.

Leo Release Date

Leo movie will hit the screens on 19th October 2023 worldwide. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja. As per the makers, the film wraps at the end of June 2023.

Leo is LCU or Standalone?

Leo is a standalone film, but some sources said it might be a parallel universe of LCU. Going through the Leo movie cast [George Maryan (Napoleon from Kaithi) and Vasanthi (Agent Tina) from Vikram], the film seems to be under Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Let’s wait for the official confirmation.

Leo “Bloody Sweet” is a complete action thriller drama, Vijay plays a gangster role in the film. The film is said to be an adapted version of the Hollywood film A History of Violence.

Anirudh composes the background score and songs. The audio rights of the Bloody Sweet Leo movie were bagged by Sony Music South. The satellite rights of the film were grabbed by SUN TV. The leading channel will telecast the film during the festive season. It is expected that the film will be aired on TV during Pongal 2024.

The makers didn’t disclose any estimated budget for the film. As per the close sources, movie budget is expected to be around 250 crores.
