Belgium, Netherlands to host 2026 males’s and women’s hockey World Cups

Belgium and the Netherlands will collectively host the 2026 hockey women’s and males’s World Cups concurrently, the Worldwide Hockey Federation (FIH) govt board chosen Thursday.

The blended event will occur in July or August in Amsterdam and Wavre with women’s and males’s teams having fun with in every venues.

The proposed format for the match schedule has one native workforce, Belgium or the Netherlands, having fun with daily in order to attract additional spectators.

Commenting on the selection, FIH CEO Thierry Weil acknowledged it has been a tough job to circle in on the host.
